Cooking in the direct flame is as old as of Stone Age. Ask anyone and they will tell you the same on direct flame cooking history. Cooking with flame and having a barbecue are two different methods. The absence of sauce will determine the different of the two, barbecue having the sauce. In the real essence of barbecue, you need to baste and cook the meat slowly in 5 to 6 hours at a low temperature say around 200 degrees. Charcoal or wood can be used in this process.

Anywhere in the US, UK or Australia, barbecue is household term, it is everybody’s favourite no matter what the flavour and taste should be. Today barbecue goes along with the idea of hamburger or steak, something that are big, tender, juicy that can blow your mid away when it melts in your mouth. Some are using grilled hot dog with all its side ingredients. Barbecue like the word has been in with us through the ages same it’s true with its taste and our desire to eat it – truly lasting.

.

It is no doubt that barbecue is an American delicacy as history would prove it. Its 50 states have its own interpretation of how to barbecue. Texas, Virginia, Carolinas or Georgia are few proud states that can give you a ground background of how their barbecue evolved. This defines barbecue distinctively from one state to another.

Texas barbeque sauce is BBQs last name. It is thick and sweet with rich tomato flavour. A dry-rub mixture of seasoning on the beef while slow cooking is added.

Southeast barbecue has a thinner sauce contrary to Texas sauce. Its taste is more of vinegary. Pork is preferred over beef in this style. They use pit or enclosure while cooking so that the heat and smoke will go directly to the meat while cooking.

Uniqueness in every way is what makes us all different and interesting at the same time. Just like cooking, having a barbecue or grilling. Each family has its own top secrets on how to do it. Sometimes it is even regarded as top secret. Planning a barbecue party soon? Well you might end up meeting some so called barbecue experts. You might want to start conversation with you old or new guest on what grilling or barbecue, how it all begun and paved its way until the moment that you are doing it. Just like the style of preparing barbecue sauces so are the answers that you will get aside from the number of bottles that you opened as well? Ask and grill your guest, you will see how diverse answers could be.
